पूर्वदेशनृपैः सार्धं दक्षिणापथपार्थिवैः ।
तावदेवारिभिरसावर्धमार्गे रणे हतः ॥ १९ ॥

19. However, just as he was on his way, accompanied by the kings of the eastern regions and the rulers of the southern path, he (Vāruṇa) was killed in battle by his enemies midway.
