योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-84, verse-9

रात्रिंदिवं महानेष शुष्यत्येव कृशानुना ।
चिन्तया चिन्तयामास संसारव्याधिभेषजम् ॥ ९ ॥
rātriṃdivaṃ mahāneṣa śuṣyatyeva kṛśānunā ,
cintayā cintayāmāsa saṃsāravyādhibheṣajam 9

cintayā cintayāmāsa saṃsāravyādhibheṣajam
9. rātrimdivam eṣaḥ mahān kṛśānunā eva śuṣyati.

9. Day and night, he, great as he was, continued to wither away as if consumed by fire (kṛśānu). Plagued by anxiety, he deliberated upon the remedy for the affliction of cyclical existence (saṃsāra).
