योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-84, verse-20

यथा विविक्तमेकान्ते मनो भवति निर्वृतम् ।
न तथा शशिबिम्बेषु न च ब्रह्मेन्द्रसद्मसु ॥ २० ॥
yathā viviktamekānte mano bhavati nirvṛtam ,
na tathā śaśibimbeṣu na ca brahmendrasadmasu 20
20. yathā viviktam ekānte manaḥ bhavati nirvṛtam na
tathā śaśibimbeṣu na ca brahma-indra-sadmasu
20. yathā manaḥ ekānte viviktam nirvṛtam bhavati,
tathā śaśibimbeṣu na,
ca brahma-indra-sadmasu na.
20. Just as the mind (manas), when secluded and clear (viviktam) in solitude, becomes utterly peaceful (nirvṛtam), it does not achieve such tranquility amidst moonbeams, nor in the palaces of Brahmā and Indra.
