योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-84, verse-30

समर्था न वनावासे योषितः कठिना अपि ।
कानने पुष्पमञ्जर्यः सोढुं शस्त्रालिमक्षमाः ॥ ३० ॥
samarthā na vanāvāse yoṣitaḥ kaṭhinā api ,
kānane puṣpamañjaryaḥ soḍhuṃ śastrālimakṣamāḥ 30

30. Even strong women are not capable of living in the forest. Just as delicate flower-clusters in a forest cannot withstand a swarm of weapons, so too are women ill-suited for such hardships.
