जरा मरणमभ्येति मूढस्यैव पुनःपुनः ।
जगज्जीर्णारघट्टेऽस्मिन्रज्ज्वा संसृतिरूपया ॥ ४६ ॥

jarā maraṇamabhyeti mūḍhasyaiva punaḥpunaḥ ,
jagajjīrṇāraghaṭṭe'sminrajjvā saṃsṛtirūpayā 46

jagat jīrṇāraghaṭṭe asmin rajjvā saṃsṛtirūpayā

46. jarā mūḍhasya eva maraṇam punaḥpunaḥ abhyeti.

46. Old age repeatedly leads only the deluded person to death. [This occurs] in this world, which is like a dilapidated well-machine, [bound] by the rope in the form of the cycle of rebirth (saṃsāra).
