| ajñānam āpadām niṣṭhā kā hi na āpad ajānataḥ ||

Any conversation with such a person is like calling a dog in the sky (i.e., futile). Ignorance (ajñāna) is the very foundation of all misfortunes. Indeed, what misfortune does not befall one who is ignorant?
