योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-68, verse-30

मनः पतति भोगेषु गृध्रो मांसलवेष्विव ।
वन्द्यसंसक्तिवशतो व्यर्थया रम्यशङ्कया ॥ ३० ॥
manaḥ patati bhogeṣu gṛdhro māṃsalaveṣviva ,
vandyasaṃsaktivaśato vyarthayā ramyaśaṅkayā 30
30. manaḥ patati bhogeṣu gṛdhraḥ māṃsalaveṣu iva
vandya-saṃsakti vaśataḥ vyarthayā ramyaśaṅkayā
30. manaḥ gṛdhraḥ māṃsalaveṣu iva vyarthayā
ramyaśaṅkayā vandya-saṃsakti vaśataḥ bhogeṣu patati
30. The mind rushes into sensual pleasures, just like a vulture onto pieces of flesh, driven by the power of attachment (saṃsakti) to what it deems adorable, through a futile imagining of beauty.
