योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-86, verse-5

न बभूवात्मजस्तस्य मरुभूमौ तृणं यथा ।
न व्यराजत सा भार्या तस्य निष्फलपुष्पिता ॥ ५ ॥
na babhūvātmajastasya marubhūmau tṛṇaṃ yathā ,
na vyarājata sā bhāryā tasya niṣphalapuṣpitā 5
5. na babhūva ātmajaḥ tasya marubhūmau tṛṇaṃ yathā
na vyarājata sā bhāryā tasya niṣphalapuṣpitā
5. tasya ātmajaḥ na babhūva yathā marubhūmau tṛṇaṃ
tasya sā niṣphalapuṣpitā bhāryā na vyarājata
5. No son (ātmaja) was born to him, just as grass does not grow in a desert. His wife did not shine, for though she had blossomed, she remained fruitless.
