वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-110, verse-52

एवं दत्तास्मि रामाय तदा तस्मिन् स्वयं वरे ।
अनुरक्ता च धर्मेण पतिं वीर्यवतां वरम् ॥५२॥
52. evaṃ dattāsmi rāmāya tadā tasmin svayaṃ vare ,
anuraktā ca dharmeṇa patiṃ vīryavatāṃ varam.

anuraktā ca dharmeṇa patim vīryavatām varam
52. evam tadā tasmin svayam vare vīryavatām varam
patim rāmāya dattā asmi ca dharmeṇa anuraktā
52. Thus, in that self-choice ceremony (svayaṃvara), I was given to Rama, the best among the valiant husbands. And I am devoted to him by my intrinsic nature (dharma).
