विद्वन्,
यथा वराहस्य शुनः च युध्यतोः तयोः अभावे श्वपचस्य लाभः,
तद्वत् कर्णहैडिम्बयोः युद्धे वासुदेवस्य लाभः वै मन्ये।

O learned one, just as when a boar and a dog are fighting and both disappear, the gain is for the dog-eater; similarly, I believe that in the battle between Karṇa and Ghaṭotkaca, the true gain is for Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa).
