महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-157, verse-5

नूनं बुद्धिविहीनश्चाप्यसहायश्च मे सुतः ।
शत्रुभिर्व्यंसितोपायः कथं नु स जयेदरीन् ॥५॥
5. nūnaṁ buddhivihīnaścāpyasahāyaśca me sutaḥ ,
śatrubhirvyaṁsitopāyaḥ kathaṁ nu sa jayedarīn.
5. nūnam buddhi-vihīnaḥ ca api asahāyaḥ ca me sutaḥ
śatrubhiḥ vyaṃsita-upāyaḥ katham nu sa jayet arīn
5. nūnam me sutaḥ buddhi-vihīnaḥ ca asahāyaḥ ca api (asti)
śatrubhiḥ vyaṃsita-upāyaḥ saḥ katham nu arīn jayet
5. Surely, my son (Duryodhana) is devoid of intelligence and also helpless, his strategies thwarted by enemies. How then could he possibly conquer his foes?
