महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-152, verse-29

स राक्षसेन्द्रं कौन्तेयः शरवर्षैरवाकिरत् ।
तानप्यस्याकरोन्मोघान्राक्षसो निशितैः शरैः ॥२९॥
29. sa rākṣasendraṁ kaunteyaḥ śaravarṣairavākirat ,
tānapyasyākaronmoghānrākṣaso niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ.
29. saḥ rākṣasendram kaunteyaḥ śaravarṣaiḥ avākirat |
tān api asya akarot moghān rākṣasaḥ niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ
29. saḥ kaunteyaḥ rākṣasendram śaravarṣaiḥ avākirat
rākṣasaḥ niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ asya tān api moghān akarot
29. That son of Kunti (Bhima) showered the king of rākṣasas with volleys of arrows. But the rākṣasa, with his own sharp arrows, rendered even those (Bhima's arrows) futile.
