महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-152, verse-41

ततस्तां भीमनिर्घोषामापतन्तीं महागदाम् ।
गदया राक्षसो घोरो निजघान ननाद च ॥४१॥
41. tatastāṁ bhīmanirghoṣāmāpatantīṁ mahāgadām ,
gadayā rākṣaso ghoro nijaghāna nanāda ca.
41. tataḥ tām bhīmanirghoṣām āpatantīm mahāgadām
gadayā rākṣasaḥ ghoraḥ nijaghāna nanāda ca
41. tataḥ ghoraḥ rākṣasaḥ tām bhīmanirghoṣām
āpatantīm mahāgadām gadayā nijaghāna ca nanāda
41. Then, the terrible demon struck that great mace, which was approaching with a dreadful roar, with his own mace, and he (also) roared.
