महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-54, verse-36

सोऽस्मि वाच्यस्त्वया राजन्पूर्वमेव समागमे ।
न योत्स्ये पाण्डवान्संख्ये नापि पार्षतसात्यकी ॥३६॥
36. so'smi vācyastvayā rājanpūrvameva samāgame ,
na yotsye pāṇḍavānsaṁkhye nāpi pārṣatasātyakī.
36. saḥ asmi vācyaḥ tvayā rājan pūrvam eva samāgame
na yotsye pāṇḍavān saṃkhye na api pārṣatasātyakī
36. rājan,
tvayā pūrvam eva samāgame saḥ (arthaḥ) vācyaḥ asmi (uktaḥ syāt): 'saṃkhye pāṇḍavān na yotsye,
na api pārṣatasātyakī (yotsye).

36. O King, you should have told me this earlier, at the very assembly: 'I will not fight the Pāṇḍavas in battle, nor Pārṣata and Sātyaki.'
