महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-247, verse-5

तत्र गच्छन्ति कर्माग्र्यं कृत्वा शमदमात्मकम् ।
लोकान्पुण्यकृतां ब्रह्मन्सद्भिरासेवितान्नृभिः ॥५॥
5. tatra gacchanti karmāgryaṁ kṛtvā śamadamātmakam ,
lokānpuṇyakṛtāṁ brahmansadbhirāsevitānnṛbhiḥ.
5. tatra gacchanti karma agryam kṛtvā śamadamātmakam
lokān puṇyakṛtām brahman sadbhiḥ āsevitān nṛbhiḥ
5. O Brahman, those men go to the worlds of the meritorious, which are frequented by virtuous people, having performed excellent actions (karma) characterized by inner peace (śama) and self-restraint (dama).
