इह यत्क्रियते कर्म तत्परत्रोपभुज्यते ।
कर्मभूमिरियं ब्रह्मन्फलभूमिरसौ मता ॥३५॥

35. iha yatkriyate karma tatparatropabhujyate ,
karmabhūmiriyaṁ brahmanphalabhūmirasau matā.

35. iha yat kriyate karma tat paratra upabhujyate
karma-bhūmiḥ iyam brahman phala-bhūmiḥ asau matā

35. Whatever action (karma) is performed here (in this world), its consequences are experienced in the other world. O Brahmin, this (human realm) is the land of actions (karma-bhūmi), and that (other realm) is considered the land of their fruits (phala-bhūmi).
