etacchrutvā tu maudgalyo vākyaṁ vimamṛśe dhiyā ,
vimṛśya ca muniśreṣṭho devadūtamuvāca ha.

Vyasa said: Having heard this, Mudgalya indeed reflected on the words with his intellect. And having reflected, that foremost sage then spoke to the divine messenger.
