महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-247, verse-30

असंतोषः परीतापो दृष्ट्वा दीप्ततराः श्रियः ।
यद्भवत्यवरे स्थाने स्थितानां तच्च दुष्करम् ॥३०॥
30. asaṁtoṣaḥ parītāpo dṛṣṭvā dīptatarāḥ śriyaḥ ,
yadbhavatyavare sthāne sthitānāṁ tacca duṣkaram.
30. asantoṣaḥ parītāpaḥ dṛṣṭvā dīptatarāḥ śriyaḥ yat
bhavati avare sthāne sthitānām tat ca duṣkaram
30. There is dissatisfaction and great distress upon seeing more brilliant glories (śriyaḥ). And whatever state befalls those who are situated in a lower position, that too is difficult to endure.
