etacchrutvā tu sarveṣāṁ pāṇḍavānāṁ mahātmanām ,
niryāṇaṁ dhṛtarāṣṭrasya śokaḥ samabhavanmahān.

Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Indeed, upon hearing this about Dhṛtarāṣṭra's passing, a great sorrow arose among all the great-souled Pāṇḍavas.
