महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-51, verse-17

नाहं मिथ्यावचो ब्रूयां स्वैरेष्वपि कुतोऽन्यथा ।
भवतो यदहं ब्रूयां तत्कार्यमविशङ्कया ॥१७॥

17. nāhaṁ mithyāvaco brūyāṁ svaireṣvapi kuto'nyathā ,
bhavato yadahaṁ brūyāṁ tatkāryamaviśaṅkayā.

17. na aham mithyā-vacaḥ brūyām svaiṣu api kutaḥ anyathā
bhavataḥ yat aham brūyām tat kāryam aviśaṅkayā

17. aham svaiṣu api mithyā-vacaḥ na brūyām anyathā
kutaḥ bhavataḥ yat aham brūyām tat aviśaṅkayā kāryam

17. I would not speak false words even among my intimates; how much less would I do so in other circumstances? Therefore, whatever I say to you should be carried out without any doubt.
