महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-51, verse-13

च्यवन उवाच ।
अर्धराज्यं समग्रं वा नाहमर्हामि पार्थिव ।
सदृशं दीयतां मूल्यमृषिभिः सह चिन्त्यताम् ॥१३॥
13. cyavana uvāca ,
ardharājyaṁ samagraṁ vā nāhamarhāmi pārthiva ,
sadṛśaṁ dīyatāṁ mūlyamṛṣibhiḥ saha cintyatām.
13. cyavana uvāca ardharājyam samagram vā na aham arhāmi
pārthiva sadṛśam dīyatām mūlyam ṛṣibhiḥ saha cintyatām
13. pārthiva aham ardharājyam vā samagram na arhāmi sadṛśam

13. Chyavana said, "O king, I am not worthy of half the kingdom or even the whole. Let a suitable price be given, and let it be considered together with the sages (ṛṣi)."
