महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-199, verse-26

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
प्रतिगृह्य तु तद्वाक्यं नृपं सर्वे प्रणम्य च ।
प्रतस्थिरे ततो घोरं वनं तन्मनुजर्षभाः ।
अर्धं राज्यस्य संप्राप्य खाण्डवप्रस्थमाविशन् ॥२६॥
26. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
pratigṛhya tu tadvākyaṁ nṛpaṁ sarve praṇamya ca ,
pratasthire tato ghoraṁ vanaṁ tanmanujarṣabhāḥ ,
ardhaṁ rājyasya saṁprāpya khāṇḍavaprasthamāviśan.
26. vaiśampāyanaḥ uvāca pratigṛhya tu tat vākyam
nṛpam sarve praṇamya ca pratastire
tataḥ ghoram vanam tat manujarṣabhāḥ ardham
rājyasya saṃprāpya khāṇavaprastham āviśan
26. Vaiśampāyana said: Having accepted that statement and bowed to the king, all those foremost among men (manujarṣabhāḥ) then set out for that formidable forest (vana). Having obtained half of the kingdom, they entered Khāṇḍavaprastha.
