आकारभासुरं दीनं बाह्यैराक्रान्तमिन्द्रियैः ।
कर्मघण्टारवाक्रान्तं क्रान्तं दुष्कृतताडनैः ॥ २६ ॥

26. ākārabhāsuram dīnam bāhyaiḥ ākrantam indriyaiḥ
karmaghaṇṭāravākrantam krāntam duṣkṛtatāḍanaiḥ

26. (It is) dīnam,
ākārabhāsuram,
bāhyaiḥ indriyaiḥ ākrantam,
karmaghaṇṭāravākrantam,
duṣkṛtatāḍanaiḥ krāntam.

26. Outwardly appearing splendid, yet internally wretched, it is overcome by the external senses. It is afflicted by the sound of the bell of past actions (karma), and tormented by the blows of its misdeeds.
