स्वात्मान्धरूपास्पदया जडया जाड्यजीर्णया ।
दुःखदीर्घप्रलापिन्या चित्रमन्धीकृतं जगत् ॥ ६३ ॥

63. It is astonishing how the world (jagat) has been blinded by this inert [material nature (prakṛti)], which is the abode of a blind ego (ahaṅkāra), consumed by its own dullness, and endlessly wailing in misery.
