न ह्येष राम सुग्रीवो भ्राम्यमाणो ऽपि वालिना ।
वेदयानो न च ह्येष बलमात्मनि मारुतिः ॥४०॥

40. na hyeṣa rāma sugrīvo bhrāmyamāṇo'pi vālinā ,
vedayāno na ca hyeṣa balamātmani mārutiḥ.

40. Indeed, O Rāma, this Sugrīva, even while being tormented by Vāli, does not truly know his own strength. And similarly, this Hanumān (māruti) also does not realize the power within himself (ātman).
