वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-26, verse-22

अब्रवीत्तां दशग्रीवश्चरणाधोमुखीं स्थिताम् ।
सुतस्य यदि मे भार्या ततस्त्वं मे स्नुषा भवेः ॥२२॥
22. abravīttāṃ daśagrīvaścaraṇādhomukhīṃ sthitām ,
sutasya yadi me bhāryā tatastvaṃ me snuṣā bhaveḥ.

sutasya yadi me bhāryā tataḥ tvam me snuṣā bhaveḥ
22. daśagrīvaḥ caraṇādhomukhīm sthitām tām abravīt: "yadi tvam me sutasya bhāryā,
tataḥ me snuṣā bhaveḥ.
"
22. Daśagrīva said to her, who stood with her face cast down towards his feet: 'If you are the wife of my son, then you would be my daughter-in-law.'
