वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-8, verse-38

तद्विनाशाद्धि मे दुःखं प्रनष्टं स्यादनन्तरम् ।
सुखं मे जीवितं चैव तद्विनाशनिबन्धनम् ॥३८॥
38. tadvināśāddhi me duḥkhaṃ pranaṣṭaṃ syādanantaram ,
sukhaṃ me jīvitaṃ caiva tadvināśanibandhanam.
38. tat-vināśāt hi me duḥkham pranaṣṭam syāt anantaram
sukham me jīvitam ca eva tat-vināśa-nibandhanam
38. me duḥkham tat-vināśāt hi pranaṣṭam syāt anantaram
ca eva me sukham jīvitam tat-vināśa-nibandhanam
38. Indeed, with its destruction, my suffering would immediately cease entirely. My happiness and my very life are entirely dependent on its demise.
