वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-8, verse-32

हृता भार्या च मे तेन प्राणेभ्यो ऽपि गरीयसी ।
सुहृदश्च मदीया ये संयता बन्धनेषु ते ॥३२॥
32. hṛtā bhāryā ca me tena prāṇebhyo'pi garīyasī ,
suhṛdaśca madīyā ye saṃyatā bandhaneṣu te.

32. And my wife, who was dearer to me even than my life, was abducted by him. Moreover, those who were my friends, they are now held in bonds.
