वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-39, verse-60

एतावद्वानरैः शक्यं गन्तुं वानरपुंगवाः ।
अभास्करममर्यादं न जानीमस्ततः परम् ॥६०॥
60. etāvadvānaraiḥ śakyaṃ gantuṃ vānarapuṃgavāḥ ,
abhāskaramamaryādaṃ na jānīmastataḥ param.
60. etāvat vānaraiḥ śakyam gantum vānarapuṅgavāḥ
abhāskaram amaryādam na jānīmaḥ tataḥ param
60. vānarapuṅgavāḥ etāvat vānaraiḥ gantum śakyam
abhāskaram amaryādam tataḥ param na jānīmaḥ
60. O excellent monkeys, this far is what monkeys are capable of traveling. Beyond that point, which is sunless and without boundaries, we do not know what lies there.
