वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-24, verse-41

ततो ऽग्निं विधिवद्दत्त्वा सो ऽपसव्यं चकार ह ।
पितरं दीर्घमध्वानं प्रस्थितं व्याकुलेन्द्रियः ॥४१॥
41. tato'gniṃ vidhivaddattvā so'pasavyaṃ cakāra ha ,
pitaraṃ dīrghamadhvānaṃ prasthitaṃ vyākulendriyaḥ.
41. tataḥ agnim vidhivat dattvā saḥ apasavyam cakāra ha
pitaram dīrgham adhvānam prasthitam vyākulendriyaḥ
41. tataḥ saḥ vyākulendriyaḥ vidhivat agnim dattvā ha
pitaram dīrgham adhvānam prasthitam apasavyam cakāra
41. Then, having ritually offered the fire, he (Angada), whose senses were agitated, performed the ritual anti-clockwise circumambulation for his father, who had set out on the long journey (of death).
