बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-70, verse-18

तदीशे लग्नसंस्थेऽपि पितृश्रेष्ठो भवेन्नरः ।
एवं पूर्वक्तसामान्यफलं चात्रापि चिन्तयेत् ॥१८॥
18. tadīśe lagnasaṃsthe'pi pitṛśreṣṭho bhavennaraḥ .
evaṃ pūrvaktasāmānyaphalaṃ cātrāpi cintayet.
18. tadīśe lagnasaṃsthe api pitṛśreṣṭhaḥ bhavet naraḥ
evam pūrvoktasāmānyaphalam ca atra api cintayet
18. Even if the lord of that [father's house] is situated in the Ascendant (lagna), the native becomes superior to his father. Similarly, one should also consider the general results previously mentioned in this context.
