When it (Saturn) is in the trine constellation (to the calculated one), then one should predict distress (kaṣṭa) for the father. However, if this occurs during a period (daśā) that bestows misfortune (riṣṭa), then death (maraṇa) should be predicted; otherwise, at other times, only general suffering (kaṣṭa).
