मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-97, verse-35

श्रुत्वा मन्वन्तरं पूर्वं धर्ममाप्नोति मानवः ।
स्वारोचिषस्य श्रवणात्सर्वकामानवाप्नुते ॥३५॥
35. śrutvā manvantaraṃ pūrvaṃ dharmamāpnoti mānavaḥ .
svārociṣasya śravaṇātsarvakāmānavāpnute.
35. śrutvā manvantaram pūrvam dharmam āpnoti mānavaḥ
svārociṣasya śravaṇāt sarvakāmān avāpnute
35. By listening to the account of the previous Manvantara, a human being (mānava) attains spiritual merit (dharma). By listening to the account of Svārociṣa, one fulfills all desires.
