मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-97, verse-34

श्रुत्वा मन्वन्तराणीत्थं क्रमेण मुनिसत्तम ।
पुण्यमाप्नोति मनुजस्तथाऽक्षीणां च सन्ततिम् ॥३४॥
34. śrutvā manvantarāṇītthaṃ krameṇa munisattama .
puṇyamāpnoti manujastathā'kṣīṇāṃ ca santatim.
34. śrutvā manvantarāṇi ittham krameṇa munisattama
puṇyam āpnoti manujaḥ tathā akṣīṇām ca santatim
34. O best of sages, having heard the manvantaras thus, in due order, a human being obtains merit and also undiminished progeny.
