मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-97, verse-18

पौर्णमास्याममावास्यां पर्वस्वन्येषु च स्तवः ।
ममैष संश्रुतो मर्त्यैर्भविता पापनाशनः ॥१८॥
18. paurṇamāsyāmamāvāsyāṃ parvasvanyeṣu ca stavaḥ .
mamaiṣa saṃśruto martyairbhavitā pāpanāśanaḥ.
18. paurṇamāsyām amāvāsyām parvasu anyeṣu ca stavaḥ
mama eṣaḥ saṃśrutaḥ martyaiḥ bhavitā pāpanāśanaḥ
18. This hymn of praise of Mine, when recited by mortals on the full moon day, the new moon day, and other festivals, will act as a destroyer of sins.
