अग्निरुवाच ।
परितुष्टोऽस्मि ते विप्र भक्त्या या ते स्तुतिः कृता ।
वरं ददामि भवते प्रार्थ्यतां यत्तवेप्सितम् ॥३॥

3. agniruvāca .
parituṣṭo'smi te vipra bhaktyā yā te stutiḥ kṛtā .
varaṃ dadāmi bhavate prārthyatāṃ yattavepsitam.

Agni said, "O Brahmin, I am greatly pleased by the devotion (bhakti) with which this praise was offered by you. I grant you a boon; ask for what you desire."
