मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-97, verse-24

वत्सातिहार्दं त्वयि मे तथान्येषु च जन्तुषु ।
न वेद्मि किमिदं त्वं चेद्वेत्स्ये तत्कथयाशु मे ॥२४॥
24. vatsātihārdaṃ tvayi me tathānyeṣu ca jantuṣu .
na vedmi kimidaṃ tvaṃ cedvetsye tatkathayāśu me.
24. vatsa atihārdam tvayi me tathā anyeṣu ca jantuṣu na
vedmi kim idam tvam cet vetsye tat kathaya āśu me
24. "My dear son, I have great affection for you, and similarly for other living beings. I do not understand what this is. If you know, please tell me that quickly."
