महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-65, verse-39

तान्पञ्चभल्लैस्त्वरितैः सुमुक्तैस्त्रिधा त्रिधैकैकमथोच्चकर्त ।
धनंजयस्ते न्यपतन्पृथिव्यां महाहयस्तक्षकपुत्रपक्षाः ॥३९॥
39. tānpañcabhallaistvaritaiḥ sumuktai;stridhā tridhaikaikamathoccakarta ,
dhanaṁjayaste nyapatanpṛthivyāṁ; mahāhayastakṣakaputrapakṣāḥ.

sumuktaiḥ tridhā ekaikam atha uccakart
dhanañjayaḥ te nyapatan pṛthivyām
mahāhayāḥ takṣakaputrapakṣāḥ

39. With five swift, well-released bhalla-arrows, Arjuna (dhanañjaya) then cut each of them into three parts. And those great steeds, swift as the offspring of Takṣaka (takṣakaputrapakṣa), fell to the earth.
