महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-65, verse-38

ते वर्म भित्त्वा पुरुषोत्तमस्य सुवर्णचित्रं न्यपतन्सुमुक्ताः ।
वेगेन गामाविविशुः सुवेगाः स्नात्वा च कर्णाभिमुखाः प्रतीयुः ॥३८॥
38. te varma bhittvā puruṣottamasya; suvarṇacitraṁ nyapatansumuktāḥ ,
vegena gāmāviviśuḥ suvegāḥ; snātvā ca karṇābhimukhāḥ pratīyuḥ.

38. Those well-released arrows, piercing the golden-adorned armor of the best of men (puruṣottama), fell down. Extremely swift, they penetrated the earth with great speed, and having plunged (into it), they seemed to return towards Karna.
