ततः क्षणेन क्षितिपाः क्षतजप्रतिमेक्षणाः ।
कर्णं ववर्षुर्बाणौघैर्यथा मेघा महीधरम् ॥४३॥

43. tataḥ kṣaṇena kṣitipāḥ kṣatajapratimekṣaṇāḥ ,
karṇaṁ vavarṣurbāṇaughairyathā meghā mahīdharam.

43. Then, in an instant, the kings, with eyes resembling blood, showered Karṇa with floods of arrows, just as clouds shower a mountain.
