महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-96, verse-16

एतद्बलार्णवं तात वारयिष्ये महारणे ।
पौर्णमास्यामिवोद्धूतं वेलेव सलिलाशयम् ॥१६॥
16. etadbalārṇavaṁ tāta vārayiṣye mahāraṇe ,
paurṇamāsyāmivoddhūtaṁ veleva salilāśayam.

16. Dear one, in this great battle, I will restrain this ocean-like army, just as a shore holds back a body of water agitated on a full moon day.
