महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-78, verse-21

संजय उवाच ।
एवमुक्त्वार्जुनो बाणानभिमन्त्र्य व्यकर्षयत् ।
विकृष्यमाणांस्तेनैवं धनुर्मध्यगताञ्शरान् ।
तानस्यास्त्रेण चिच्छेद द्रौणिः सर्वास्त्रघातिना ॥२१॥
21. saṁjaya uvāca ,
evamuktvārjuno bāṇānabhimantrya vyakarṣayat ,
vikṛṣyamāṇāṁstenaivaṁ dhanurmadhyagatāñśarān ,
tānasyāstreṇa ciccheda drauṇiḥ sarvāstraghātinā.
21. saṃjaya uvāca evam uktvā arjunaḥ bāṇān
abhimantrya vyākarṣayat vikṛṣyamāṇān tena
evam dhanur-madhya-gatān śarān tān asya
astreṇa cicheda drauṇiḥ sarva-astra-ghātinā
21. saṃjaya uvāca.
arjunaḥ evam uktvā,
bāṇān abhimantrya vyākarṣayat.
tena evam vikṛṣyamāṇān dhanur-madhya-gatān tān śarān asya drauṇiḥ sarva-astra-ghātinā astreṇa cicheda.
21. Saṃjaya said: Having spoken thus, Arjuna consecrated his arrows and then began to pull them out. As he was pulling out those arrows that were fixed in his bow, Drauni (Aśvatthāman) cut them with his weapon (astra), which was capable of destroying all weapons.
