महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-163, verse-18

स कर्णे सायकानष्टौ व्यसृजत्क्रोधमूर्छितः ।
ध्वजे शरासने चैव शरावापे च भारत ॥१८॥
18. sa karṇe sāyakānaṣṭau vyasṛjatkrodhamūrchitaḥ ,
dhvaje śarāsane caiva śarāvāpe ca bhārata.

18. Overwhelmed with rage, Bhima discharged eight arrows at Karna: at his banner, at his bow, and indeed at his quiver, O descendant of Bharata.
