महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-112, verse-1

संजय उवाच ।
भीमसेनस्य राधेयः श्रुत्वा ज्यातलनिस्वनम् ।
नामृष्यत यथा मत्तो गजः प्रतिगजस्वनम् ॥१॥
1. saṁjaya uvāca ,
bhīmasenasya rādheyaḥ śrutvā jyātalanisvanam ,
nāmṛṣyata yathā matto gajaḥ pratigajasvanam.

1. Saṃjaya said: Having heard the twang of Bhīmasena's bowstring and the slapping sound (of his hand on it), Rādhā's son (Karṇa) could not endure it, just as an intoxicated elephant cannot tolerate the trumpeting of a rival elephant.
