महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-48, verse-34

अनयो योऽयमागन्ता पुत्राणां ते दुरात्मनाम् ।
तदस्य कर्म जानीहि सूतपुत्रस्य दुर्मतेः ॥३४॥
34. anayo yo'yamāgantā putrāṇāṁ te durātmanām ,
tadasya karma jānīhi sūtaputrasya durmateḥ.

34. Know that the misfortune which this evil-minded son of the charioteer (Karṇa) is bringing upon your wicked sons — a misfortune that concerns both parties (the Pāṇḍavas and your sons) — is indeed his own action (karma).
