महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-38, verse-34

नेहास्ति धनुषा कार्यं न संग्रामेण कर्हिचित् ।
निक्षिपैतद्धनुस्तात प्राप्तोऽसि परमां गतिम् ॥३४॥
34. nehāsti dhanuṣā kāryaṁ na saṁgrāmeṇa karhicit ,
nikṣipaitaddhanustāta prāpto'si paramāṁ gatim.
34. na iha asti dhanuṣā kāryam na saṃgrāmeṇa karhicit
nikṣipa etat dhanuḥ tāta prāptaḥ asi paramām gatim
34. "Here, there is no purpose for a bow, nor is there any need for battle at any time. Lay down this bow, my dear one; you have attained the supreme state."
