महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-38, verse-31

ततोऽपश्यत्सव्यसाची वृक्षमूले तपस्विनम् ।
ब्राह्म्या श्रिया दीप्यमानं पिङ्गलं जटिलं कृशम् ॥३१॥
31. tato'paśyatsavyasācī vṛkṣamūle tapasvinam ,
brāhmyā śriyā dīpyamānaṁ piṅgalaṁ jaṭilaṁ kṛśam.
31. tataḥ apaśyat savyasācī vṛkṣamūle tapasvinam
brāhmyā śriyā dīpyamānam piṅgalam jaṭilam kṛśam
31. Then Savyasācin (Arjuna) saw an ascetic at the foot of a tree, radiant with divine splendor, tawny-colored, with matted hair, and emaciated.
