kurvataḥ na artha-siddhiḥ me bhavati iti

47.
O Bhārata, if I do not achieve success (artha-siddhi) when performing an action (karma), one should not fall into despair concerning it. Indeed, for any action (karma), these two—success or failure—are the outcomes, or, alternatively, the non-initiation of the action.
