महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-33, verse-23

मनसार्थान्विनिश्चित्य पश्चात्प्राप्नोति कर्मणा ।
बुद्धिपूर्वं स्वयं धीरः पुरुषस्तत्र कारणम् ॥२३॥
23. manasārthānviniścitya paścātprāpnoti karmaṇā ,
buddhipūrvaṁ svayaṁ dhīraḥ puruṣastatra kāraṇam.

buddhipūrvaṃ svayaṃ dhīraḥ puruṣaḥ tatra kāraṇam
23. A resolute person (puruṣa), having first mentally determined their goals with forethought, subsequently achieves them through action (karma). That person is the underlying cause in such endeavors.
