महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-36, verse-42

शक्यते विधिना पापं यथोक्तेन व्यपोहितुम् ।
आस्तिके श्रद्दधाने तु विधिरेष विधीयते ॥४२॥
42. śakyate vidhinā pāpaṁ yathoktena vyapohitum ,
āstike śraddadhāne tu vidhireṣa vidhīyate.

āstike śraddadhāne tu vidhiḥ eṣa vidhīyate
42. pāpam yathā uktena vidhinā vyapohitum śakyate
